Meet the Chiropractor

Dr. Terrence Miller is a Grayslake chiropractor who serves Grayslake and the surrounding communities in IL.

Dr. Miller was born and raised in Grayslake.  In high school he was injured while playing football.  His father initially took him to be evaluated by a medical doctor.  The doctor gave him medication for pain and said not to play football for three weeks.  Taking three weeks off as the quarterback, masking the pain and not correcting the cause of the condition weren’t going to work.  His father then took him to the local Chiropractor who successfully treated the cause of the pain and Dr. Miller never missed a practice or a game!

Another injury while playing college football had him once again seeking a medical doctor and again was prescribed medication for pain.   He went back to the Chiropractor receiving immediate relief after the adjustment.  He then made a decision that would change his life.  His new mission was to help other people with health issues.  Giving people a way to not just mask the pain with medication, but to seek and correct the cause of the condition.  To become part of the solution, after graduating from North Central College in Naperville, he went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating in 1985.

Dr. Miller has been treating patients in his Grayslake office since 1986.  He took over the practice from the Chiropractor he initially saw, Dr. H.A. Collins.  Dr. Collins’ father was the chiropractor who began this practice in Grayslake in 1922.  It is one of the longest continuously running practices in Illinois.

The Chiropractic profession was founded in 1895.  It has hundreds of studies and millions of success stories.

Dr. Miller is married to his wife Kerry who is also a native of Grayslake.  They have 4 children, Marcus, Madison, Connor and Trenton.  An avid basketball fan, he shares his love of the game by coaching 8th grade feeder and AAU.

Dr. Miller uses the Palmer Method of chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning.  Dr. Miller takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr.  Miller will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.
